Microscopic Endodontics

Severe tooth pain doesn’t have to mean losing the tooth. Microscopic endodontics in Lublin lets us save the root even when decay has reached the nerve. At Dentists Lublin we work at 25× magnification—the microscope reveals additional canals, broken instruments, and cracks invisible to the naked eye. The procedure is performed under a rubber dam, with precise canal length measurement and a hermetic fill using warm gutta-percha. Thanks to this, root-canal treatment is often completed in a single visit while healthy tissues remain untouched. When we finish, we immediately provide a digital restoration of the tooth and clear aftercare instructions in the patient app—because in our work, YOU come first.

Comfort from the very first minute

You are welcomed by a warm, “homely” interior; the doctor speaks plainly, and the “STOP” gesture gives you the right to pause at any time. Short waiting times and priority for pain show that you set the pace of treatment.

Modern technology, less invasive procedures

A 3-D scanner, 25× microscope, and computer-controlled anesthesia allow us to remove only the diseased tissue, shorten the procedure, and protect healthy tissue-for more durable results and gentler healing.

Comprehensive care under one roof

From CBCT tomography through to the final check-up, everything happens in one place; even complex cases are completed on an intensive treatment schedule, with a clear plan and estimate provided before we begin.

Microscopic endodontics at Dentists Lublin—how it works and what to expect
Treatment begins with a periapical RVG X-ray or CBCT scan to assess the number and shape of the canals. This lets the endodontist see where branches and any curvatures are. After local anesthesia, the tooth is isolated with a rubber dam to keep the field sterile and protect the cheeks from irrigants. The microscope over the operative field magnifies up to twenty-five times—the boundary between dentin and decay becomes as clear as if it were drawn with a pencil.

Nickel-titanium files, driven by an endodontic motor, shape the canal, and then warmed irrigants flush out bacteria from areas steel cannot reach. After drying, we fill the canal with warm gutta-percha—the material becomes plastic at around 160 °C, sealing every lateral branch. In the same visit we rebuild the clinical crown with composite or—when the loss is greater—with a fiberglass post and a temporary crown milled with CAD/CAM. In most cases, the entire process takes 90–120 minutes.

If the inflammatory lesion at the root tip is extensive, or if a broken instrument was left in the tooth elsewhere, an apicoectomy (root-tip resection) is performed. The endodontist removes a few millimeters of the apex, curettes the inflamed tissue, and seals the canal from the outside with a bioceramic material. The procedure takes about 45 minutes under local anesthesia. Thanks to the microscope, bone cutting is minimal and healing typically takes a few weeks.

After treatment, every patient gets access to a patient app for ongoing contact with the doctor. In the evening the doctor calls to ensure pain is within normal limits and there’s no excessive swelling.

Why have your root canal treatment at Dentists Lublin

  • 25× microscope and electronic apex measurement – we locate extra canals and measure them to tenths of a millimeter, minimizing the risk of reinfection.
  • Single-visit treatment- thanks to warmed gutta-percha and crown restoration in the same chair, you often finish therapy in one session.
  • Safety and sterility – rubber dam isolation, single-use files, and ultrasonically activated irrigants protect against reinfection.
  • Post-op care – an evening follow-up call and guidance in the patient app help you through healing without stress.
  • Comprehensive care at one address – if the tooth needs a prosthetic crown or apicoectomy, we do everything on site without sending you elsewhere.
