Implantology at Dentyści Lublin from 3-D plan to a lasting smile
The process begins with CBCT and an intraoral scan. The doctor imports both files into one program, merges them, and determines the angle and depth of the implants. This “digital navigation” replaces traditional bone measurements taken during surgery, shortens operating time, and reduces the risk of nerve injury. A 3-D-printed surgical guide is sterilized in an autoclave and, at the very next visit, serves as a guide sleeve for the drill.
Same-day implant
If, after extraction, there is sufficient bone and no inflammation, immediate implant placement with a temporary crown is possible. The success rate of this procedure exceeds 95 percent, and the patient leaves the office without a visible gap. We prepare the final all-ceramic crown after a three-month healing period, once the implant has fully fused with the bone.
Bridge on four or six implants
For larger gaps we recommend bridges supported by four or six implants. A technician designs a metal-ceramic or full-ceramic framework using CAD/CAM technology that distributes chewing forces across the entire bone. The solution is stable and easy to keep clean, and the smile looks natural because the crowns don’t need to be removed for cleaning.
What if there’s not enough bone
A long-standing missing tooth leads to bone loss. In such cases, we perform augmentation with biomaterial or a sinus lift. If the deficiency is small (e.g., about 5 mm short of the optimal level), we use the closed technique and place the implant during the same procedure. For larger deficits (when only around 2 mm of bone remains at the future implant site), we use the open technique, rebuild the bone, wait six months, and only then place the implant.
Procedure comfort
Procedures are performed under local anesthesia. The open CBCT system reduces the discomfort of the scan, and the surgical guide shortens operating time, meaning less tissue irritation and faster healing. After the visit, the patient receives a cold compress, written instructions, and the attending doctor’s phone number.
Prosthetic care
Once the implant has integrated, we scan it with an intraoral scanner and design the crown or bridge in CAD/CAM software. The technician matches the shade in natural light, and we deliver the restoration as screw-retained, so it can be easily removed in the future for check-ups.
