Bonding—micro-invasive makeover

Bonding is ideal when you want even, smooth teeth without permanently grinding enamel. The procedure involves applying thin layers of composite resin to the tooth surface and shaping them to close a diastema, level a chipped edge, or brighten discolored enamel. It’s all done in a single visit, usually within ninety minutes. We begin with gentle etching to open micropores in the enamel, then apply an adhesive system—the “glue” that bonds the composite to the tooth. Subsequent layers are placed under loupes or a microscope, allowing us to see even the finest boundary between healthy tissue and resin. Each increment is cured with an LED light for a few seconds, ensuring uniform polymerization and minimal shrinkage.

The greatest advantage of bonding is its micro-invasiveness. We don’t remove hard tissue, so the treatment can be reversed or modified in the future—for example before orthodontics or before placing porcelain veneers. Composite also makes small repairs easy: we simply roughen the surface, add a tiny amount of resin, and repolish. That means even years later you can refresh the color or shape in just minutes, without replacing the entire restoration.

At Dentyści Lublin, bonding starts with a digital 3-D scan and a virtual smile design. Before the first drop of composite is applied, you can see how leveled edges or closed gaps will look. If you prefer a live test, we print a trial “mock-up” from temporary material and place it on your teeth without adhesive—so you can assess not only the esthetics, but also phonetics and lip contact. After you approve the design, we proceed to the procedure itself, isolating the tooth with a rubber dam so oral moisture doesn’t interfere with bonding.

We polish the finished bonding with diamond rubber points and finish with a paste for a glassy luster identical to natural enamel. We photograph your teeth in daylight, and the images appear in your patient app along with instructions: avoid coffee, red wine, and staining spices for 48 hours, and come every six months for professional polishing to refresh the surface and extend the restoration’s lifespan. With this approach, bonding becomes not just a quick “make-up” for teeth, but a lasting investment in confidence and a natural smile.

Ultra-thin veneers—when durability is the priority

If maximum stain resistance is your goal, we recommend E-max veneers 0.3–0.5 mm thick. Enamel preparation is limited to a layer thinner than a fingernail, and the entire case is made in the lab within seven days. After a mock-up try-in, the patient evaluates the shape in the mouth and approves the design. We cement veneers under a rubber dam, ensuring a dry field and no microleakage. With proper hygiene, esthetics last 10–15 years, and with shade layering the ceramics mimic the translucency of natural incisors.

GLO Science LED teeth whitening

Sometimes the issue isn’t shape, but shade. We use GLO Science whitening: a neutral-pH gel activated by cool light and gentle heat. The in-office procedure takes about an hour, and sensitivity is reduced with a post-session mineral ampoule. Alternatively, we offer custom home trays used for seven nights with a lower-concentration gel. In both options, the color holds for 12–18 months, and refreshing the result takes about 30 minutes.

Check-ups and longevity

Every esthetic treatment requires ongoing hygiene. That’s why six months after completion we invite you for a scaling + air polishing + fluoride package, during which the hygienist polishes the veneer margins or bonding line and checks gingival adaptation.
