Fluoridation

Fluoridation is a preventive treatment involving the application of a special preparation containing fluoride to the teeth. Fluoride strengthens enamel teeth, increasing its resistance to acids produced by bacteria present in the oral cavity. In this way, fluoridation effectively prevents the development of caries, especially in children whose teeth are more susceptible to damage.

This treatment is safe, fast and often performed as part of dental check-ups. Fluoridation is particularly recommended for people at high risk of tooth decay, such as those who consume a lot of sugars or have problems maintaining good oral hygiene.
